AIE Achieves Prestigious ARRI Certified Film School Status

3rd July 2025 – The Academy of Interactive Entertainment (AIE), a leading film educator and developers of the world's first Film and Virtual Production course, today announced it has officially become an ARRI Certified Film School. This accreditation signifies AIE’s commitment to providing students with unparalleled hands-on training using industry-standard ARRI equipment, preparing them for successful careers in the global film and television industry.

The ARRI Certified Film School program recognizes institutions that meet ARRI’s rigorous standards for technical education and practical application of its state-of-the-art products and workflows. AIE filmmaking students already have extensive experience with cutting-edge ARRI technology, including the ARRI Amira and ALEXA Mini LF Cameras. Since acquiring six ARRI cameras in 2022, AIE students have already produced over 50 short films across hundreds of film shoots using ARRI cameras in virtual production stages and on-location shoots.

AIE now joins an exclusive group of institutions worldwide to hold this certification, granting access to ARRI Academy’s extensive educational resources and professional development for trainers. Upon completion of their course, AIE Filmmaking students will receive official ARRI certification, confirming their proficiency with the tools used by professionals around the world.

"We are incredibly proud to achieve ARRI Certified Film School status," said Dan Sanguineti, award-winning filmmaker and AIE Filmmaking Teacher.

“We chose ARRI because it is one of the world’s most trusted and respected names in professional cinema camera systems, particularly working with virtual production workflows. Being ARRI Certified means our students have opportunity to train with our industry-standard technology under a program that is officially supported and aligned with ARRI’s global training framework.”

"This certification is a testament to our dedication to providing a world-class education that directly aligns with industry demands,” said AIE CEO John De Margheriti.

“Our students will now have direct access to and expert training on the same high-calibre equipment used by top cinematographers and filmmakers globally, giving them a significant advantage as they enter the workforce."

This partnership underscores AIE’s approach to filmmaking education, ensuring students have the knowledge and skills they need through hands-on practical experience. Graduates will emerge not only with a strong creative vision but also with the technical proficiency and confidence to operate sophisticated ARRI systems, making them highly sought-after professionals in the competitive screen industry.

“ARRI is committed to fostering the next generation of filmmaking talent, and we are honored to welcome AIE as an ARRI Certified Film School,” said Harald Schernthaner, Head of Global Customer Training. “AIE’s dedication to practical, hands-on learning and its state-of-the-art facilities make it an ideal partner. We look forward to the incredible work AIE graduates will create, empowered by their training on ARRI technology.”
